Hotel Muliac

The four-course dinners were a delicious surprise we hadn’t expected. They alone would make us return, and I definitely recommend choosing half board. We stayed five nights while exploring the Dolomites, and the hotel was a great base for trips in the area. Breakfast was nice, though if we went later, around 9 am, the eggs and sweets like pancakes and waffles were gone. We didn’t see them replenished, even though breakfast runs until 10:00.

The highlight was dinner, with its excellent four-course menu. The hotel is also a great base for exploring Val Gardena and the surrounding Dolomites. Our room was nice and clean, and the heated pool and saunas were good for relaxing. Highly recommend.

The food was great and varied, and the staff were genuinely helpful and kind. The hotel was tidy and clean when we visited at the start of the season. Their on-demand ski bus made getting to the lifts easy. I’d highly recommend it for families and for people who ski all day and then come back to the hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening.

We stayed at the family-run Muliac hotel in Selva, a short walk from the centre. The ski shuttle worked perfectly, and Mirko was a great help. We picked a different starting point every day, which turned out to be the best choice. Hotels on the slopes are overrated :) Our big family room was modern, comfortable, and had its own sauna on the terrace. The spa wasn’t crowded, which suited us, and had a nice outdoor pool and great saunas. The food was great and the service was perfect. We’ve visited Val Gardena and Alta Badia many times, but this was our most memorable ski trip so far. Our teenage girls missed being able to stream Netflix on the TV. That was the only downside, and it wasn’t a big deal for us.
