We were hiking with friends, and the owners made Solaia feel like home each day. They were around on site, remembered our names, and always greeted us warmly. It’s also ideally placed for the lifts, trails, and public transport. Our room was simple, but spotless, comfortable, and well kept. The heated pool, sauna, and breakfast were welcome extras. We had a great stay and would gladly return.

The home-cooked breakfast, including meat from the owners’ highland farm, was a real plus. There’s good WiFi and parking, plus plenty of room to store bikes or skis. You’re close to the lift, and the owners are there as hosts around the clock. I like the charm here more than the pristine designer-hotel look. A good base for biking, hiking, or skiing.

We were close enough to walk into town, while staying a little above it with lovely views. The room was spacious and really comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly, sweet, and funny. A great stay.

The room was clean, but I didn’t appreciate the luggage policy. Our group checked in on Sunday for one night and planned to come back the following Sunday. We asked to leave a single 26" suitcase for that return stay, but the woman turned us down because there were other customers. There were nine of us, and only one bag to store, so I couldn’t see what impact that would have on anyone else. It felt stingy and lacking in sympathy.

The room suited my needs perfectly, and the location and views were great. I also really liked the pool and breakfast. The hosts were fantastic, friendly, and made me feel welcome. I hope I can come back soon.
