Breakfast was superb, with homemade cakes, eggs and yogurt, and Mr. Marcello made coffee while we chatted. I’d love to come back for that, the place itself and his stories. The restored property is elegant but still warm, with a lovely view of the village and a mattress that made for a restful night. Mr. Marcello is polite and kind, and such a pleasant person to listen to. Thank you 🙏

Sharing a home so full of memories, emotion and lived experience feels incredibly generous. There’s room to relax and take in the beauty, with spacious, well-kept rooms, a bathroom in each one and a fully equipped kitchen.

Marcello was so kind, helpful and generous that we felt comfortable throughout our stay. He also gave us really useful information about the area. The whole house was ours to use, including his extensive library. Le Antiche Mura is elegant and welcoming, with lots of space and a lovely garden furnished with care. We arrived late, without a reservation, but Marcello welcomed us with extraordinary kindness. We’d come across this B&B by chance while touring by bike with a friend and stayed the night. The old house, renovated by Marcello himself, is delightful, warm and cared for down to the smallest detail. He has a way of making you feel completely at home. Breakfast was fabulous. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re travelling through the upper Maremma.
