Hotel Sirena

The restaurant meals were fairly good, and the hotel's sea-facing position is an added plus. I'm giving two stars because the two young men serving in the restaurant and the women cleaning the floors were very kind and friendly. The rest definitely needs a rethink. The hotel is old and dirty, and the people at reception were not kind at all. They were very rude and almost never smiled. I work in the same industry, and I'm sorry to have to write this.

The location and price are the strongest points here, and the place was spotless despite being dated. The building is looked after, and having bikes with seats for children and babies was really handy. Breakfast was fine, though the choices got repetitive. Parking costs extra, and that wasn't mentioned when we booked. We also weren't told ahead of time that the air conditioning is switched off from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The food was the main disappointment: basic dishes, not cooked very well, and portions were limited. The buffet was mostly the same vegetables and fruit each day. Service could be more attentive to children, especially around the meal schedule. Pietro was a bright spot and was considerate with our son. The owners could also be friendlier in how they communicate. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless the price and location are what matter most.

We liked the food, with plenty of menu choices, and the rooms were spotless. Full board with drinks included was good value. The hotel sits right by the sea, near the seaside roundabout and Senigallia's center. The one thing missing from the rooms is a small fridge. A good pick for a holiday in Senigallia.

The room was a real plus: our quadruple was spacious and very clean, and the staff were friendly. There was also a little playroom with lots of games, plus a girl who kept the children occupied at certain times. We spent a week here, with the sea just outside and the center close by. Bagni Sirena is the partner beach across the road. Giampiero runs it exceptionally well, and his warmth and friendliness really stood out. The hotel itself is simple and reasonably priced. The food was made with good-quality ingredients, but I think the preparation could be improved, with fuller dishes and perhaps some of the typical meals listed on the hotel's website. A few small changes would make it close to perfect.
