Hotel Casa Sofia

A wonderful place to slow down and disconnect. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and Kristian was the kindest, most understanding and helpful host I’ve come across. He even offered rides to and from the bus stop. The property, rooms, setting, and views all felt like a dream, just heaven on Earth.

Sant Angelo was our favorite part of Ischia. It’s a peaceful, more authentic little village with no cars, about 35 minutes from the main town. The views are stunning, though there are plenty of steps and hills, so bring comfortable shoes. I chose Casa Sofia after reading all the praise for Christian, the host and owner, and he was even better than we expected. He asked what we wanted to do each day and arranged things for us. We mentioned renting a boat, and it was organized within minutes. His restaurant suggestions were fantastic, places we’d never have found on our own. The garden terrace breakfast overlooking the ocean was a perfect start to the day, with uninterrupted views. The photos and videos really don’t capture how beautiful it is in person. Christian made us feel so welcome and made the whole stay memorable. We’re very grateful.

We booked two sea-facing rooms and loved every minute. They were comfortable, the beds were great, the showers had strong water pressure, and the balconies were fantastic. It all felt like a dream. Kristian was such a lovely person and a huge help, booking meals and a boat for us and doing plenty more. Breakfast with that view was a treat. We’ll be back for sure!

Sant Angelo is a charming little town a short walk downhill. The climb back up is tougher, but Christian gave us a lift to the hotel when we needed one. It’s a car-free area, so expect some walking. This beautiful small hotel is perched on a hill with amazing views. Our spacious, nicely designed room had a large terrace and a spectacular outlook. Christian was a fantastic host, always helpful and attentive, and takes great care of both his guests and the property. We really loved staying here.
