Hotel Loewenwirt

The owner was difficult to deal with. It seemed you had to be there every day to get a room as a guest. Still, we had a pleasant stay in Sexten during our three-day mountain bike tour, partly because the price was relatively low. Our room was clean and basic, with a balcony, but rather small, especially the beds. We shared it with two other guys and skipped room service for the first two days. On the third, we asked for service because we’d run out of toilet paper. They took the trash but still didn’t leave any toilet paper. Breakfast was sparse: easier to say what was available than what wasn’t. There were exactly six rolls, almost like a reward for getting there quickly. They didn’t bring out more, though there was still bread.

We brought our two dogs and stayed from August 16 to 23, with a generally good experience. The hotel is right in the centre of Moso (Sesto), so amenities are easy to reach. Our room was clean and nice, with a small balcony. The bed was the main problem: the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and it squeaked. The staff were helpful and kind. Both the à la carte dinner and breakfast were good, though breakfast didn’t have much variety. Croissants were always available. The value was average, perhaps a little high, especially the pet surcharge, but it was still a decent stay for us.

The staff were incredibly kind and available at all hours. Breakfast wasn’t huge, but there was plenty to eat, and it was delicious, especially the warm, freshly baked tarts and cakes. The rooms were cosy and the furniture well kept. We would have liked a slightly firmer pillow as a spare. The location was good. We stayed two nights.

Very friendly staff, and breakfast was good. The room was spacious and clean, and it was handy to have dinner available at the hotel restaurant. The accommodation is well located, just a two-minute walk from a bus stop.
