HH Hotel Helvetia

The views from our room and the rooftop over the town and sea were breathtaking, and the hotel has a beautiful private pool. When we arrived, staff at reception and the terrace restaurant welcomed us warmly and offered us a drink while we admired the stunning sea view. We stayed at Hotel Helvetia from August 23rd to 26th and loved it. Everyone was kind and attentive throughout. Thanks especially to Francesco at breakfast for always making time for a friendly chat, and to Giovanni for being so helpful. Luca and Roberto at reception, all the waiters, the lifeguard at the private beach, and housekeeping were wonderful too. Housekeeping brought cold bottles of water to our room every evening. It was a lovely stay in a charming town, and we'll definitely be back.

The hotel helped us make a wonderful family memory. It's in a lively little town where Italians come to vacation, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, while the hotel itself feels tucked into its own little space. We also found a lovely shop where the owner designs and makes clothes from organic, natural materials. If anyone knows the name of the shop, please tell me. I'd like to get in touch with her. This family-owned gem really knows hospitality. My children, 9, 12, and 20, had a wonderful stay. We arrived late afternoon, and a driver soon came to collect us from the train station. The concierge made check-in easy, and while we went to the hotel restaurant for aperetivos, staff brought our bags to our rooms. Angelo, the wonderful barman, made customized watermelon mocktails, gave the children lots of choices, and served delicious little snacks. We enjoyed the complimentary family breakfast every morning, with a menu as well as an abundant buffet that included fresh squeezed orange juice. Kiko, who oversees the hotel's private beach and lifeguards, looked after us by the sea. He showed us sea urchin, the best places to swim, and helped make a lovely morning adventure. We had a kayak, paddle boards, and lounge chairs. Our rooms were cleaned daily, maitre'd Francesco was always welcoming, and every staff member greeted us with a sincere 'buongiorno'. Thank you to the lovely owners and mille grazie to all the employees.

The staff across the board were exceptional and did everything they could to accommodate us. This lovely hotel on the bay in Sestri Levante is a converted palacio, so the rooms are on the smaller side, but they're very nicely appointed.

The rooms are impeccable, and breakfast is tremendous. From the moment you arrive until you leave, the service makes you feel like part of a loving family. A fabulous boutique hotel in one of the most peaceful locations I've ever found.
