The fish dishes were the highlight for me. We started with polpo, zuppa, carpaccio and gamberetti, then had Spaghetti Nieddittas and Fregola. Everything was delicious, and I can still taste it. My friend said the restaurant has been there for almost 50 years. They welcomed us with freshly warmed guttiau from the oven and a bottarga butter paté, and the service was professional throughout. One funny extra: the restrooms have toiletries, even perfume. If you’ve had too much to drink to drive, you can stay overnight in one of their suites. I strongly recommend it for a high quality fish meal in Sardegna.

Davide and Ahmed were so helpful and kind during our week at Locanda Da Renzo. The restaurant dinner was a real treat, with delicious seafood, signature lobster dishes and good Sardinian wines, though it only opens on weekends. Our family room was a good size, and the rooms are arranged around a big pool with sunbeds. There’s also a tennis court. Breakfast was generous and served at the table. It’s easy to reach from a highway exit, about 15 minutes from Oristano’s city center and roughly 25 minutes from the seaside. We had a very nice stay.

Davide made the place feel like home. He looked after us from the start and helped with everything, always smiling. The owners and staff are lovely, and the food, rooms and pool were all great. A real pearl of Sardinia, with a world class restaurant.
