Casal Di Noto Resort

We chose this lovely hotel to revisit Ragusa Ibla, Noto, and Ortigia, and the hilltop setting gives it far-reaching views. Our apartment is beautiful, with high ceilings, spacious rooms, elegant, comfortable furnishings, and a well-equipped kitchen. Good supermarkets are only a short drive away. The beds are very comfortable, and we’ve found the whole place calm and restful. The hotel clearly keeps its standards high. Our room was spotless and well maintained, as were the gardens, with white roses lining the paths to the pool and lovely plants throughout. The pool is great for a proper swim, around 20m long and a fairly even depth, then you can relax on the terrace overlooking the valley. There’s also a pool bar serving snacks and drinks, a children’s playground, and a pétanque area. This beautiful old building has been adapted wonderfully, and the kind, excellent staff clearly care. We’re so glad we found it.

We had a great stay in a lovely area, and the staff were so friendly. There are lots of beautiful towns nearby to explore. Definitely recommend!

Everyone we met, from reception to breakfast and room service, was kind and helpful. Being greeted with a smile each morning was such a pleasure, and we had an unforgettable week at Masseria del Carrubo. The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious, with local products served in a lovely glass room. The pool is huge, though a little cold in October, so perhaps a solar heater would help. There’s a small hot tub too. I would have liked a gym. All in all, a wonderful holiday spot that I can truly recommend.

The setting is stunning, and the building itself is lovely, but the stay didn’t quite live up to what we’d hoped for. We’ve stayed in this sort of place in Portugal and felt a few things were missing here. The rooms are spacious and come with a kitchen and all the utensils you need. We weren’t keen on the decor, which felt at odds with the exterior, and the TV only had Italian shows. If, like us, you don’t bring a computer or something else to watch, it can be hard to enjoy a bit of TV time. The pool can also get a little windy. What affected our stay most was the lack of food options, especially in the evening. The masseria is a bit far from the better-known towns, so finding dinner can be difficult when you want to unwind after a long day and don’t feel like cooking. The bar also closes at 18:30. We skipped breakfast too, as 20eur per person seemed a bit much for what was on offer. If you want to switch off from the world, this may suit you. We think it has a lot of potential, but needs a few more amenities before we’d come back.
