Locanda Orchidea - B&B

We stayed for two weeks and the room was spotless, comfortable for two, and came with lovely little breakfasts. Restaurants were close by, and we could walk everywhere from this perfectly placed location. The facility was immaculate and really nicely done. We never needed a cab. Locanda was hard to beat!

The room was lovely and spacious, and the location was ideal, just a few minutes on foot from the Duomo. I preferred getting breakfast from local pastry shops rather than eating at the hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, and the location made a great base for exploring Florence. It's not far from the main square, though getting there from the main train station with suitcases is quite a trek over cobbled streets. Our room was just off the check-in and main entrance area, so we heard people coming and going, including the breakfast setup in the morning. Breakfast was continental, with overcooked scrambled eggs as the only hot choice. The room had the usual amenities, but no bottled water or tea and coffee facilities, so we had to pay for those at the main entrance. For late check-ins, a keycode entry system would help. We had to call a different number from the one on our booking to get in, and our call wasn't answered. Luckily, someone else was entering the property at the time. We would absolutely stay here again.

Luciano was a warm, welcoming host, and very friendly and responsible. The accommodation was good value for money. Our room was spacious, tidy, and impeccably clean, with an excellent location. The train station, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo, and Accademia Gallery were all within a 15-minute walk. Highly recommended!
