Sitting by the window with a glass of prosecco and watching Siena is something I’ll keep remembering. Our top-floor room had sweeping views over the city and the Tuscan hills, with hot-air balloons visible at sunrise and a lovely sunset from bed. The room and bathroom were comfortable and well appointed, though there are steps to reach the residence and a stone staircase inside connecting the bedroom to the bathroom. Francesca made our stay even better: breakfast was delicious and brought to the room, and she had loads of ideas for food and things to do. The location made it easy to walk to the main sights and the nearest parking lot. Residenza d'Epoca is a real gem.

Our rooftop room had a romantic panoramic view over the old city, and we loved having breakfast in the room. The location was beautiful, too. Francesca was so well prepared and suggested lovely places to visit along with some fantastic restaurants. A perfect place to stay in Siena!

We tried one of the owner's restaurant suggestions and had a great meal, so her tips for wandering around Siena are worth asking about. She's very friendly, and you might even run into her at one of those places. The B&B is small and cute, right in the centre. An old, lovely staircase takes you to the second floor, where the owner welcomes you. The room is elegant, with high ceilings and a great bed. Definitely recommend it!

The city being closed to most cars was a nice surprise. We saw only taxis and a few authorized cars, which made walking around feel quite safe, though you do have to walk. Getting into the B&B itself worked out: you find the key and get to your room, even if personal contact is limited apart from payment. The owner took the breakfast off the bill when we had to leave before the 8:30-10:00 breakfast time. The room was quite nice, but we missed having a bottle of water after the long walk there. There are two floors of stairs to climb. The arrival process felt odd, with no one to welcome you, unusual schedules, and lots of emails asking when you'll arrive. It seems to be a difference between a hotel and a B&B, and apparently common in Italian B&Bs.

The owners were really helpful, even letting us keep our bikes in the room. Breakfast was nice, with fruit, cake and coffee, and the rooms were well decorated. We spent two nights here, about a five-minute walk from the Piaza di Campo. We'd definitely choose this place again if we return to Siena.
