All'ombra della Torre

The owner was hard to reach, and I had to call several times before getting an answer. The parking suggestions weren't very clear, so we ended up leaving the car at the station for just 2€ per day. The bathroom was kept clean, but there was lots of mold in the shower and a disgusting mat. The old furniture felt authentic, but the room lacked atmosphere. All the lighting was bright fluorescent lamps, which gave the place a weird vibe.

The shared bathroom was the only downside, though it was part of staying in such an ancient, classic apartment. The room really made me feel like I was in the 15th century. The rooms are cool and old-fashioned, right in the center of Siena, with good service and everything clean.

The staff were friendly and professional, and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. They were available to answer questions and offer suggestions. The hotel is right in Siena's historic center, within walking distance of everything you might want to see. Highly recommend it.

The street noise kept waking us up about every hour. We're used to living in a city center, but here the echo made it even louder, which was pretty annoying. Otherwise, the room, facilities, and location were perfect. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated, and we felt like we'd gone back to medieval times.
