Piccolo Hotel Etruria

A rare find, just steps from il Campo but tucked onto a quiet side street. The basic rooms were spotless, and the shower pressure was so strong it felt like a massage. There’s also a nice, big shared family room with a balcony over the busy pedestrian street. The hotel sits on a corner. Can’t recommend it enough.

I could barely sleep because the room was so noisy, and the cleanliness was unacceptable. I’d booked a double but got two single beds that kept sliding apart, with very uncomfortable mattresses. There were no outlets beside the bed, and the curtains didn’t block the streetlamp light, so it stayed bright all night. For the price, the shower’s very poor water pressure was simply unacceptable. The staff were unhelpful. A really disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

After I posted my review, an employee contacted me on WhatsApp and insulted me. That was horribly unprofessional, and the staff were awful. The room itself was tiny, uncomfortable, and nothing like the photos on the hotel’s website. Charging 85€ plus city tax for it felt like a complete rip-off. Don’t go there!

You could call this place “the train” for the AC machine noise that went on all night. It was the most mediocre, unkind, careless place I’ve ever seen. There’s a game to play: find the one hidden socket.
