My room was roomy and stylish, with more closet space than I could fill. Being there felt like finding an oasis. And that ocean view, hello, Adriatic Sea!

The area is nice, but I wouldn’t hurry back. The listing says there’s a spa, yet it wasn’t open, and I’ve never had a hotel refuse to let me use the room’s air conditioning. The temperature stayed at 22c 🥵. Breakfast looked good, but they shut it at 9.30am, so you have to rush. That didn’t feel relaxing.

Getting around was part of the fun: we could walk, ride, or take a train, and the beach and local area were easy to reach. Hotel Hermitage is also close to other places in the Abruzzo Region, which makes it a good base. Silvi itself is beautiful, and I loved my time in Italy. The service and accommodations at the Hermitage Hotel were really great. It’s a wonderful place to stay.
