The owners made us feel at home, even giving us a bottle of wine and fresh homemade pizza. They were lovely, and we've kept in touch since that one week together. We managed just fine despite the language barrier by both using Translate. Everything we could have wanted was there, and I wish we'd been able to stay longer. We had to leave, which was the only downside. I'm looking forward to returning to Villa Il Tolino as soon as we can, hopefully for a much longer stay.

The house was around 10 degrees when we arrived, close to the outside temperature. No one had thought to warm it up before we moved in, and the heating couldn't get the old stone house comfortable overnight after it had been cold for so long. That wasn't the relaxing holiday we'd planned, so we moved out and contacted the owner, who understood. The manager apparently didn't accept our reason for leaving. Although we handled things fairly and politely, she became nasty and suggested we were lying. A very disappointing experience.

A perfect Tuscan escape, tucked away from everything while still close to all those picturesque hilltop towns.

A peaceful retreat with a beautiful view, this residence feels truly welcoming. Just the place to slow down, relax, and get away from the rush of modern life for a while.
