A Casa di Giù B&B

The location suited us for a quiet, relaxing stay. The B&B is in a peaceful residential area outside Syracuse, with easy parking, though you’ll need a car to get around, even to a bar. There aren’t any restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Ortigia is about a 10-minute drive; Avola takes 20 minutes, Vendicari and Noto about 30, and Marzamemi around 40. It’s a welcoming family place set in a beautiful garden. Giuliana and her parents were attentive and available whenever we needed them. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious homemade cakes, biscuits, and desserts that changed daily, plus lots of yogurt, coffee, milk including non-dairy, and fruit. Our room was spacious, carefully looked after, and spotless when we came back from a day out. The private bathroom was roomy too, with everything we needed and a lovely shower. The family’s genuine hospitality really made our stay, with kind, attentive people ready to help with whatever we needed. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious homemade cakes, biscuits, pastries served from 8:00 a.m., and drinks. The rooms were spacious, well equipped, maintained, and had private bathrooms. It’s in a quiet residential area with convenient free street parking. The drawbacks were the distance from the main beaches, at least 35 minutes, and no ingredient information for the desserts, which would help guests with allergies. Still, it’s a highly recommended, welcoming family-run B&B.

The nearby beaches were beautiful, with clear water and well-equipped facilities. We had a wonderful stay at the B&B with friends. Giuliana and her mother were professional and very kind, while giving us space, and they made us feel at home. The peaceful place is surrounded by a well-kept garden, and breakfast with homemade cakes was excellent. Gerry and the tortoises added to the property’s warm, welcoming feel. We’ll definitely recommend it.

We liked it so much that we came back a second time, and we’ll return whenever we’re in Syracuse again. The family-run place is surrounded by greenery, and the owners are kind, reliable, and happy to accommodate guests’ needs.
