B&B Triskeles

We had a nice three-day stay in Syracuse, Italy at this B&F. Breakfast felt like what you'd get at a hotel, the room was spacious, and the shower was excellent. It's a bit far from both Ortigia and the train station, but I'd still recommend staying here.

The rooms and service were fantastic. The surrounding area is run down and quite dirty, though it's close enough to walk to Ortigia.

We walked about 20 minutes to Ortigia and five minutes to a grocery store, and street parking was free. The B&B has six rooms across three levels: breakfast is downstairs in a basement room with high ceilings and windows; four rooms are on the ground floor, including ECUBA and AIACE, which face Via Torino; two more are upstairs by stairs, with no elevator, and share access to an open terrace looking toward the stadium. The breakfast room has six tables and offers toast, sliced salami and cheese, butter, jam, cornflakes, water, juice, coffee, milk, sweet biscuits, fluffy pastries and panettone-style pastries, plus filled croissants. The breakfast and cleaning staff were kind and welcoming, thank you! There was no usable Wi-Fi signal in the room, though reception was good in the breakfast area. The room had no drinking glasses or cups, just one power socket near the bed, and the hall inside was missing a light. Sound carries clearly between rooms, including conversations, TV, phone typing and other neighbour noises. The city tax for this three-star B&B was €2 per person per night.

Breakfast had a good choice, and the staff were very nice. The room was spacious and clean.
