Hotel Como

The receptionist called when our bus failed to show up. We caught another one and arrived late, at 23:25, but he said he’d wait for us even though he didn’t have to. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was extremely clean, with fresh towels and cleaning each morning. It was quiet despite being near the train station. I’d give it 1000 stars if I could.

The bed in our basic room was awful, narrow at just 120cm, and clearly not suitable for two people. The mattress was ruined when we lay down. The hotel website didn’t mention the bed size, and this place isn’t worthy of three stars. The hotel is old and worn and needs updating. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet, just sweets, with no ham, cheese, vegetables or tomatoes. There was nothing good about this stay.

Really good hotel, with very friendly people and great service. I’d definitely recommend it.

The shower barely deserves a mention, and the room itself felt old and poorly insulated. Reception were unfriendly and made us feel like we were just another tourist left to deal with the problem ourselves. The double bed was actually a single, though they sold it for two people. That felt outrageous, like a scam.
