Fausto's House

Fausto had everything ready when I arrived, walked me through the apartment, and left water and snacks, along with a list of his personal food recommendations. The place has all you need and more, including a washing machine and a really cozy balcony. Fauto's house is a true gem, well placed in Ortigia near both the beach and the center. Everything is within walking distance. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Fausto was one of the friendliest people we've met on our travels, and he was very attentive to what we needed. He picked us up at the train station and drove us to Catania airport early in the morning when we left. Fausto’s House was comfortable and had an adequate little kitchen. From the doorstep, you can wander a maze of fascinating narrow streets, with vibrant eateries, markets, seaside walkways, and unique shops all an easy walk away in Ortigia.

We'd booked for three, but illness meant one of us couldn't come that day. The staff were kind and accommodating, all smiling and easy to be around. We ordered wine by the glass, and they asked whether we preferred full-bodied or dry. They tasted it to check. At the table they brought two olive oils, and we picked our favorite. Both were delicious, as was the cheese mousse we spread on bread. The fish and shrimp were fresh. The tartare, carpaccio, and grilled food had no unpleasant smell, and the vegetables were tasty. The pasta wasn't really to my taste, but it was still a great meal.

During my week in Sicily, this was the best apartment I stayed in. The host was so kind, and I’d absolutely recommend it.
