The room cleanliness was a letdown. It was dusty and felt poorly looked after. We were too tired to raise it at the time, but it really needs improvement. The hotel itself is lovely and right by the sea. The rates are good, the food is nice, and the staff made us feel very welcome.

The lake views from this hotel are beautiful. A few small maintenance problems in our room took the shine off a little, but nothing major. There were also thousands of tiny flies around the waterfront dining area, including in the breakfast room near the food.

We loved watching the sunrise over the lake from bed, and the balcony view was amazing. We had a luxury room with a lake view. The shower pressure was good 👍 The rooms seemed a bit dated, somewhat tatty and rather dark. Parking got very busy, with guests sometimes blocking each other in. Still, given the price and location, I’d stay again. The restaurant staff were very cheerful and friendly.

We keep coming back to hotel Aurora, and we’re already looking forward to another visit. The staff are all so friendly and take good care of you, the location is perfect, and the restaurant is amazing. Being able to step straight from the room into the lake is priceless, and the loungers get sun all day. Sirmione is less than a 15-minute walk away, so the hotel makes a great base for getting around on foot. Desenzano train station is a 15-minute taxi ride, with direct trains to Verona, Venice and Milan.

I left a book in the room and emailed twice to ask if they’d found it. I haven’t had a reply.
