Hotel Chiara

I came to Lake Garda for my 30th birthday and wasn’t disappointed. The hosts were brilliant, friendly, and helpful, and you can tell they really love their hotel and everything about it. Breakfast was carefully prepared and homemade, which made it even better. The hotel is near bus routes, about a 10-minute drive from the old town, and close to bars, restaurants, and all the shops you need. We’ll definitely book here again when we return. The breakfast buffet was the highlight, varied and delicious, with some homemade cakes. The owners were helpful and friendly, and speak many languages. The pool was clean and enjoyable too. It was a nice surprise: the interior and rooms aren’t the most modern, but everything is clean and works well.

The owners were extremely helpful, and both the rooms and shared areas were very clean. Breakfast had a great selection. It’s a lovely, personal hotel and a great base for exploring the area.

The location worked well for getting around: there’s a bus stop two minutes away on the shuttle route to Sirmione, with buses every 20 minutes. The old town is a 25-30 minute walk. Local restaurants are within five minutes, the road and area aren’t too busy or noisy, and there’s plenty of private hotel parking or free parking on the streets. The couple who run this small hotel are fantastic and will help with anything you need. Our room was a good size for a family of four, functional, and spotless, like the rest of the hotel. The decor isn’t the newest, but everything is so well looked after that it didn’t matter. There’s a pool and a small bar for drinks. Breakfast was great too, with homemade cakes and excellent coffee. I’ve never stayed somewhere so welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend, very good value for money.
