Hotel Giardino

We only booked a single night, and I wish we’d had longer to enjoy more of the hotel. Having gelato outside while the sun went down over the lake was such a vacation moment for us. Getting there by car turned into an adventure I won’t forget. When we arrived, the staff helped with parking and getting settled in our room. It was modest but had what we needed, and the hotel has lovely views with access to the lake and the streets below.

The shower barely trickled, and the TV was tiny and wouldn’t turn on. The whole place needs updating. Our room felt very basic, old, and worn out, and the breakfast wasn’t nice. We were told to collect our food on a tray, sit down, then return the tray, with one staff member speaking to us unpleasantly about it. We left it on the table and walked out. Paying with the lady in the back office felt like something from Faulty Towers. We wouldn’t stay here again.

We felt looked after the whole time, and the rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. The staff in service and at reception were consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The cozy rooms have air conditioning, a small fridge, and a balcony, with everything you need to enjoy the city for a while. The furnishings aren’t the newest, but they’re very well cared for. The hotel is right in the heart of Sirmione’s old town. I’d gladly come back and recommend it for a couples’ holiday.

The owners, managers, and staff were all wonderful, friendly, caring, professional, and full of helpful advice. The hotel is right in the middle of Sirmione, with restaurants, shops, gardens, the lake, and the castle just steps away.
