B&B Il Nido dello Svasso

The room was tiny and unbearably hot. We paid $65 euros a night, even though there’s a sticker on the inside of the room door saying the government allows them to charge no more than $34 Euros per night. The people were nice, but I couldn’t sleep for even an hour. I stayed on a June summer evening, and the heat was intense. For all that money, we got a minuscule room and a shared bathroom. I’d much rather drive a bit and find a hotel room elsewhere for under $80 euros. After that sleepless night, I asked the man in charge why it was so hot. He said they actually had AC, with an attitude, as though I should have asked to sleep with AC instead of in a 90 degree room. We’d had amazing experiences at every B&B we stayed in over the previous 10 days.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We got a warm, friendly welcome too. Definitely worth a visit!

Such a lovely place to stay, close to Lake Como. The host was the best you could hope for, and breakfast in the garden was lovely. Perfect!

A very clean and pleasant B&B with a great breakfast. It’s close to the lake and makes an excellent base for seeing the whole Lake Como area, including its beautiful towns and villas.
