Hotel Astoria Sorrento

The staff were all really friendly, and breakfast had enough choice for us. We spent a week at this well-kept hotel in the heart of Sorrento. Our room was reasonable for a city centre place and looked over a small square and restaurant. The layout is quirky, so anyone with a disability should make sure to ask for a suitable room.

Rachele and Vittoria were lovely and knew the area inside out, and breakfast was handled with real care. There was plenty of everything, including pastries, cakes, cereal, yogurt, cold cuts, and fruit. We had a fantastic three days at Hotel Astoria in Sorrento’s historic center. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the necessary furnishings. The property was well kept, with a roomy reception and breakfast area. It’s within walking distance of everything, including the port for Capri and the Amalfi Coast, the train station, and nearby parking garages. A great value and a great location for families or anyone visiting the area.

There’s a small pool, but it was big enough to unwind in after a busy day, and there’s another outdoor spot to relax too. Our room faced a lively street, which was nice for sitting on the balcony with a coffee and people watching, but it wasn’t too noisy at night. A lovely little hotel close to the centre, with friendly, helpful staff and plenty of breakfast choices.

A cosy, clean, family-run hotel in the charming, authentic old part of Sorrento. It’s a hidden gem, though you have to walk the last 100 meters from Piaza St. Antonino, so the location isn’t suitable for people with mobility issues. That’s the only downside for me. As a bigger person, I also appreciated the large chairs and roomy shower.
