The worst part of our stay was the night the toilet flush failed. Water kept leaking into the bowl, so the tank couldn't refill, and we couldn't flush all night. We tried repeatedly to adjust the button without success. To stop the leak, we shut off the bathroom's main tap, which also left the basin without water. In an urgent moment, we had to turn the tap back on, fill the bathroom waste bin, and pour water into the toilet. It was exhausting, upsetting, and badly disrupted our rest. The tank seemed to adjust itself by morning. With no staff available, we had no way to report the emergency or ask to change rooms. We also heard loud talking from the main street until 2 am, making it hard to sleep. We didn't feel we could open the window. Finding the hotel was difficult because the directions were inadequate. The entrance is a large wooden door with digital access to more than one enterprise, but only a small, hard-to-see nameplate on a side wall, and there's no street number. Two nearby shopkeepers didn't know the hotel's number either. On arrival, we had no instructions about what to do or whom to contact. We called the mobile number in an email and were told how to enter, but the call was answered only on the third try. We had an Italy voice sim card, so we could make the call. Reception had an executive available from 2 pm until sometime late in the evening, but it wasn't staffed around the clock, and we had no emergency contact information. For the high accommodation cost, we expected a comfortable, straightforward stay. Instead, it was stressful and deeply uncomfortable, and we don't think it was worth the price. We wrote to Hotel Management after checkout about what happened, but received no response or acknowledgment. I'd have been better off staying elsewhere.
The room was comfortable and clean, and the location made it easy to reach the shops and restaurants, with the water within walking distance. Sound carries a lot, though. We could hear someone sneeze in a room down the hall. We'd stay here again when we're back in Sorrento.
We were there in January 2024, and even with the chilly weather our room felt cozy. We had a corner room looking over the piazza and its giant Christmas tree, and down the street toward fireworks over the marina. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Julia, the hostess, was friendly and helpful. Our driver could drop us off and pick us up easily, and it was a simple walk to everywhere in town.
The room was pretty, with a large TV, and the bathroom felt more modern than any we've stayed in. My husband and son loved the LED shower lights. The woman who checked us in was kind and helpful, and the small elevator made luggage easier to manage. The beds were firmer than I'm used to, but I slept well. Great location for shops and restaurants, and I'd highly recommend it.
We had a lovely couple of nights in gorgeous room 4. Julia was helpful from the first reservation enquiry and even booked us dinner at Marina Grande. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. There was street noise, but we enjoyed the local bar's band in the evening and watching people during the day. The main square location is fabulous, with restaurants, cafes, and shops all around. It's an easy walk down to the old harbour, though the walk back may be less easy. We'd definitely stay again if we're lucky enough to return to Sorrento.
