Casa Mama Lemon in Sorrento

The apartment was excellent for the price, with a well-stocked kitchen. Our room was extremely clean and very large, with its own bathroom and a lovely balcony for evenings. The owner was a lovely lady who greeted us and helped with whatever we needed. We could leave our luggage on the last day, which was great. The location is superb: just a short walk from the station, the easiest way to arrive from naples, and really convenient for getting around Sorrento. Many thanks!

Our July trip to Sorrento fell through because of Covid, and the voucher we received was only valid until March, even though we understood it would cover a year. We’re in Toronto, still at stage two, and weren’t comfortable travelling in March. We would have been willing to come later in the summer, but they wouldn’t discuss any options. A stay of more than a week is a lot of money. If they cared about their customers, they’d try to work something out.

The bathroom was meant to be private, but getting to it meant walking through a shared kitchen, so it didn’t feel very private. When we arrived, its door was open and unlocked, and someone had used the toilet. It was disgusting. The room and bathroom also weren’t clean enough: there was hair on the floor and black spots. The shower splashed water everywhere and left the floor soaked.

They kept the money for our six-night stay and wouldn’t help us. Our trip had been booked for July 2020, but when Covid hit, they gave us a voucher for March, a date that didn’t work with our flight. I asked them to extend it to the following year because travelling still didn’t feel safe during the pandemic, and they refused. They didn’t care. Don’t book with them. They only care about themselves.
