Rose Sorrento House

We stayed just beyond the busy town center, so Villa Rosa made a peaceful, relaxing base for our Sorrento holiday. Monica and Julia, along with their lovely dog Leo, made us feel very welcome. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the private terrace made it feel like a little retreat. Some reviews mentioned road noise, but we found it very quiet. We'd happily return and recommend it.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the little patio was nice. The hostesses were wonderful, and we loved their small dog Leo. The one drawback was traffic noise, which is outside their control. It stayed loud until after 1 am, even on weekdays. We were on the ground floor, and in hindsight I'd ask for the second floor if it were available.

I've travelled with my family to more than 30 countries and stayed in all kinds of places. This is one of my favourites, not because of the room size or hotel services, which were great, but because of how much the people running it care about their guests. On our last visit, the owner drove us to Naples airport herself when traffic in Positino meant our reserved van couldn't give us a ride. Thanks for the lovely stay and hospitality.

The hosts were lovely and even offered us a ride to the train station. Our room was clean and bigger than any we'd had on our euro trip. They provide continental breakfast items, do laundry, and let you hang things up to dry. There's also a little dog who loves a pat. It's about a 10-minute walk into town, with good cafes and restaurants within five minutes. We'd recommend Villa Rosa.
