Erica was wonderfully helpful and quick to respond, and seemed to be nearby whenever we needed her. She even carried our luggage up three flights of stairs as if it weighed nothing. She arranged a car to Naples airport, and called Comodo, the bike cart man, to help with the bags. The route from the hospital to the front door is downhill and easy, so the cart is useful mainly for the stairs to the room. The hard part is getting there with luggage. From the ferry quay, it’s about 700 meters to the town lift, with steps, a motorcycle lot and a long, rather hidden walk. Even light bags make it feel endless. After the lift, it’s another 800 meters through old, uneven and often very narrow streets full of charming shops. Cars aren’t allowed in the historic center, so you can’t get a taxi to the hotel. If you arrive by ferry, taking a taxi from the harbor to Sorrento hospital is a much easier option. It’s a short walk from there to the B&B. The place itself is attractive in a minimalist way, in a charming shopping and historic area. The room was super clean, with a lovely bathroom, recent high quality decor and fixtures, a strong shower, seat and good lighting. The sheets were immaculate, towels big and thick, pillows typically hard and mattress a bit less hard. There was good lighting for both atmosphere and reading, plus storage, hooks and hangers. No kettle or coffee pot. We didn’t need the breakfast voucher, since there are restaurants and cafes nearby. There’s no lift or front desk, in a renovated interior of an ancient building.

The location gets three stars from me: lots of restaurants nearby, a market just down the road, and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast voucher. It’s just coffee, juice and a croissant, with plenty of other choices around or along the way, and it isn’t available until after 8:30am, so it doesn’t work for early risers. The service was one star for us, even though some reviews describe a very nice experience. My family and I felt like every request was treated as our problem and the place didn’t care. When we asked for help, we didn’t feel they took time to understand the underlying issue, and were told something exceptional had already been done for us. The gap between what we read online, the room rate, and the service we got was too big. I gave the room two stars for two main issues. We arrived over the weekend and the air conditioner was broken from the moment we tried to turn it on. We were told it had been working before we arrived, but no one could come fix it because it was the weekend. The shower was far too small to turn around in, and using the rain shower head with the faucet fully on made water spill out. I did appreciate the towel hooks next to it, which I’ve surprisingly found to be rare in Italy. I can’t understand the high ratings on Google and Booking.com.

The hosts were friendly and helpful with requests. The place was modern, quiet and very clean, and well located for getting to everything Sorrento has to offer.

Erika, the owner, was always ready to help. The place was tidy and clean, right in the best spot in town. Just amazing, a must-stay in Sorrento!

A beautiful, modern apartment in the center of sorrento. The location is perfect, and the owner clearly didn’t cut corners on the decor. A little hidden gem.
