The Literary House

The property was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. Pierluca was a fantastic, very accommodating host. My mum and I were there for her birthday, and after I mentioned how keen she was to try Sorrento lemons, Pierluca brought some from his grandmother’s garden. Such a lovely touch. Thank you so much. 💖

The balcony views were spectacular, and the apartment was just as described, with everything we needed and a grocery store right below. Both bedrooms had King size beds, which had been hard to find. It’s a short walk from the train station and to the ferry port, though if you have physical limitations, you’ll want to use the lift to get down to the ferry. Pierluca helped us through the whole process, from booking to dinner reservations and more. The location is fantastic for the historic downtown Sorrento area. We rented it for five days and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

Pierluca was quick to reply whenever we contacted him, and he gave us useful local information and recommendations. The apartment is clean, fairly spacious and recently updated, with a balcony looking out at the Mediterranean. It’s a short walk to Tasso Piazza, shops and the marinas for ferries or charter boats. We’d stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

It was so quiet inside with the balcony door shut, and restaurants, bars and shops were only a few minutes away on foot. Sitting outside with a glass of Prosecco, cheese from the market downstairs and sometimes distant live jazz or a singer from the hotel was lovely and relaxing. The Literary House is gorgeous and roomy, just like the photos, and everything was recently updated and working perfectly. Pierluca is a terrific host. He had water, a welcome bottle of prosecco and lots of fresh fruit in the kitchen. He, his sister and dad met us, helped with the luggage and showed us to the door. He answered my questions and requests right away and went above and beyond to make our stay a delight. Thank you, Pierluca!
