Il Pero di Cetinale

The Pero sits in a lovely, quiet spot surrounded by greenery, and the nearest town is only 5-10 minutes away. We did run into a few issues inside the apartment. The bathroom needs updating: the sink tap and shower head are badly scaled and spray all over, while the old shower tray looks dirty because it’s stained. The bidet is so close to the shower that sitting on it properly is impossible, so you’d have to use it backwards if needed. When we arrived with groceries, the fridge was switched off, and we had to wait for it to cool before storing the fresh food. I understand it has to be cleaned between guests, but it would be helpful if it were running by arrival day. Wi-Fi was unreliable, and our phones had no signal; the connection was completely out in our apartment for two days, leaving us cut off. The caretaker was very prompt and kind, and sent a technician right away once we got in touch. It’s a convenient place in a beautiful setting, though the apartments need some work and more attention to detail.

Waze may send you down tractor-only tracks, so watch out. The setting itself is beautiful, and the pool is lovely. The apartment has a rustic feel that works well for a holiday home.

The shower and stove had problems, and cleanliness was an issue. Reception felt inadequate: the first thing they asked for was the remaining apartment balance. When we left, nobody came to ask how the stay had been. 🙈

We had such a lovely holiday here, surrounded by greenery. A beautiful place, and one we won’t forget.
