Agriturismo Villino Bellavista

The dinner was delicious and fairly priced, and breakfast had a nice range of pastries, fruit, yogurt, juices, and more. The hosts welcomed us as soon as we arrived and made sure we had everything for a good stay. The property itself is beautiful, and the gorgeous view is an extra treat. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We’d happily stay again.

We only came for dinner one evening, not an overnight stay. The food and setting were amazing, and so was the view. But the servers seemed unsure how to handle customers who didn’t speak Italian. When we tried to speak to them, they literally ran away. We were forgotten and waited ages for the food. Maybe we also had different ideas about how dinner should go. We were tired and wanted to eat quickly and leave, while they seemed to have the long Italian meal down, with wine and conversation first and long gaps between courses. We probably disrupted their usual rhythm, but they weren’t flexible, hahaha. Wish I could return and do it properly.

Only one night at Villino Bellavista, but we’d happily return. It’s a sweet family-run hotel and restaurant, though sadly the restaurant was closed that evening so we couldn’t try it. Service was personal, kind, and efficient. Our cosy room was very clean, with a great bathroom and shower, and the best mattress we slept on anywhere in Italy. The heating worked well. From the window we could see Spoleto, and the little balcony looked out over olive trees. Breakfast and coffee were excellent, and the recommendations for nearby places to visit were great. There’s free parking and lovely green views from the terrace by the hotel entrance. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

We only ate dinner here. The terrace had an exquisite sunset view, and the mixed starters were lovely. The mixed grill came out overcooked, which was a shame. Charming service.
