From up high near Squillace, you get lovely views over the coast. The house is huge, and our room was spacious and warm when we arrived soaked from the rain. There was a big radiator, handy for drying our clothes. It can be a little hard to find, so you might have to call the owner, who was friendly and helpful. You can cook in the kitchen, or walk a few minutes to a friendly little bar where things were incredibly cheap. There's covered parking too if you're driving.

We had a really good stay for two weeks with my little girl and our big dog. The place was comfortable and cool, and breakfast was simple but had everything we needed. The owner and his wife were lovely and always there when we needed them. Thanks for everything, we'll come back.

A quiet, welcoming place in the historic center, with staff who are very friendly and helpful. It's one of the few hotels in the Squillace hinterland. If you're planning to stay, check whether it's open and when.
