There was mold in the shower and all around the living room window frame. But the worst part was the surveillance camera in the entrance area. Its reflection in the window showed it also filmed part of the hallway between the bathroom and living room. With hardly any doors in the apartment, the microphone could theoretically pick up the whole place. We unplugged it, then the host emailed insisting we plug it back in for security reasons. This is unacceptable and illegal worldwide.

The garden is very beautiful, but the apartment is very humid. There isn't a small clothes closet, just a little stand with four hangers in a row. There was no shower mat, so everything gets wet when you step out, and no toilet brush or towel rack. Even a couple of nice hooks on the wall would have helped. Also, if you want to watch TV from bed, you have to stand up because it's behind the headboard.

The apartment is small but functional, with a lovely garden outside and just a few steps to central Stresa. The room doesn't quite match the photos: there are two double beds, not sofa beds. I would have liked it to be cleaner and have more attention to detail. For what it is, the price is high.

It's less than 1 km away, which makes it perfect for a weekend. Park the car and get around by ferry to visit the islands and coastal towns. The three pearls in front of Stresa are obviously very beautiful. The inner garden is handy if you have children.

A peaceful, small apartment in a residence near the center. The sofa beds were comfortable. I spent one night here on a day trip with my mother and aunts, and found it much better than a hotel for convenience and privacy. I recommend it.
