The setting was beautiful and the wine was a corker, but the service was poor.

Ornella looked after us really well, she was kind, friendly, and quick. We especially loved the beef tagliata with porcini mushrooms and rosemary, cooked just right and not too salty, with grilled potatoes on the side. The wild boar ragù was also cooked perfectly. The restaurant is in a beautiful castle surrounded by greenery. We started with a generous mix of cured meats and local specialties, served with homemade bread. Both the pici and tagliatelle were homemade, firm, light, and properly al dente. The tart was soft and creamy, and so good we had another serving. We'll definitely be back.

We had two first courses, a cheese selection with two sides, and a glass of prosecco. Everything was fresh and high quality, made with seasonal ingredients, and gluten-free choices are available. The restaurant is attached to Castello di Valenzano, with outdoor tables near the large park in summer.
