The sea and island views are breathtaking once you arrive, though the narrow, winding road up to the hotel and restaurant is a drawback. The hotel manager was friendly and capable, the restaurant food was very good, and our rooms were made up impeccably each day. They sit on different terraces surrounded by flowers and trees. If you’re there on a Thursday, there’s a gala dinner at the restaurant on the top terrace, with courses served alongside guitar music. After dinner, the guitarist turns DJ on a lower terrace, where you can dance until midnight.

I came back to this hotel with my partner after 17 years, and it was excellent value for money. It’s on a hill, but the shuttle service works well. The view is beautiful, especially at sunset. Angela was especially helpful 😘. Thanks also to Domenico, the maître d’, for his professionalism, and to Aurelio for being patient and kind. See you soon.

During our week at Hotel Carlo Magno, my family and I ate dinner here every night as part of our half-board booking. The meal started with a buffet appetizer, mostly grilled vegetables, then we chose a first course, a second course with a side, and either fruit or dessert from the daily menu. We ate well every evening, with expert oversight from the Maitre D, Mr. Domenico.
