There was so much to do that we probably wouldn't have spent much time in the room anyway. The food was good quality and portions were generous, and the staff were always helpful. Our room wasn't very large, the furniture was getting a bit worn, and it wasn't as clean as we'd have liked when we arrived.

Our villa was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of space for the three of us. The restaurant food was really good with lots of variety each day. It got busy, but we never had trouble finding a table. We all loved our first Neilson Holiday, and the location is stunning. Activities were grouped by age, which worked really well and meant the kids were with others around their age. Our son had a whale of a time with the other Stingrays. He got to sail, windsurf, swim, paddleboard, play tennis, and go cycling. The kids club was generally open from 9:30 to 5:30. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it opened at 2:30 and stayed open until 11 pm, giving parents a chance to go out for a meal without the kids. Such a great idea! We'd definitely go on more Nielson holidays and would love to come back here. Thanks to the whole team for making our holiday so memorable.

The sandy beach and all the activities were a real highlight, and the Neilson staff were lovely. We had a few room problems, including flooding and a fire alarm, and were often short on towels. The hotel team could have been more proactive too, since even getting drinks in the restaurant was difficult. Still, the excellent childcare and all the fun things to do made for a lovely Neilson holiday.

The setting feels special: low buildings tucked behind dunes and forest, with a short walk to beautifully clear water. There’s seagrass in the shallows, which can smell, but we enjoyed sailing, windsurfing and kiteboarding, all included, plus plenty of bikes for exploring Sardinia’s hills. The shaded fitness deck and hardworking, genuinely skilled tennis coaches were good extras, and the courts are AstroTurf. The food has decent choice and acceptable quality, though it can feel repetitive over two weeks. For families, the Neilson setup works well. Everyone can choose their own activities and meet for meals. The compact, Center Parcs-like rooms are easy to pop back to between sessions, private and comfortably laid out. They aren’t luxurious and maintenance could be better, but they’re fine for the price, with effective air conditioning and comfortable beds. We’ve stayed twice, and clearly weren’t the only repeat guests.
