The pool area was sparkling clean, the rooms were comfy, and breakfast was excellent. Sonia makes several kinds of cakes and jams herself, and was always happy to help us with local advice. The B&B feels like a home from home, thanks to those personal touches and Sonia’s hospitality. B&B Sole is set among lemon groves and has a fabulous view of Mount Etna. We’ve just travelled home after a lovely stay with Sonia and her family, and made some lovely memories there. The beaches are a 10-15 minute drive away. You can visit Taormina by car or cable car. Mount Etna is about an hour away, and visitors can choose the lava rock south side or the less touristy side, which I think is more beautiful and quiet, with green forest. Many thanks to Sonia and her family for such a wonderful stay.

The lemon grove around the property makes for a lovely setting, and the pool is a great size with Etna in the background. Our room was clean, spacious and just right. Sonia was really helpful with recommendations and advice on visiting different towns. We had a great stay with her and Leo.

We felt like we were staying with family. Sonia and Leo were so helpful, even packing some food for an early breakfast when we headed up to Etna early. The pool is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable and clean, with a fridge for anything you need to put away. It was a fantastic stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Sonia was a lovely host, looking after what we needed and sharing useful tips for our Sicily holiday. Each morning she served breakfast herself, with fresh, high-quality homemade things like cakes, fruit and jam, along with the usual foods you’d expect in a perfect Italian-style breakfast. We stayed 3 nights at Sonia’s B&B. It’s in a semi-rural area, well placed for Taormina, around 30m by car, and Etna, about 1h. Our room was clean, quiet and modern, with a small private terrace where we enjoyed looking at the night sky after our day trips. We definitely recommend B&B Sole if you like the quiet of the Sicilian countryside and an Italian-style breakfast.

The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. Our room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the modern bathroom had a nice shower. Breakfast by the pool came with good coffee, bread and fruit. Taormina is only a short drive away, so if you need somewhere to stay nearby, this is it. We’ll be back!
