I wouldn’t recommend this place. The host was very unfriendly when we called about checking in. The photos looked nothing like the property, and seemed not to have been updated since around 2017. Hygiene was very poor: there was mold in the bathroom, the towels were dirty and stained, the cutlery had been used, and the floor was covered in hair. Breakfast was meant to be included, but there wasn’t any.

I’m staying here now and can’t get hold of the manager by phone. The internet isn’t working, and I can’t even see a WiFi network. When I asked what was going on, they said other guests had turned off the router 😂. I’ve already contacted booking and will ask for a full refund. He was extremely rude.

Such a disappointment, and I’m sorry to say it. The bed squeaked, there was mold in the bathroom, the sink smelled awful, and the bed had stains on it. The “breakfast” was individually wrapped sweet cakes. I’m glad we only stayed one night.

At the last minute, they emailed us in Italian and tried to charge an extra 20 euros for cleaning, even though that fee wasn’t mentioned on their Booking page. Apparently other people had run into the same problem before. I had to call Booking to sort it out and spent about two hours on the phone. That’s really not how you want to spend your holiday.

It’s affordable enough to give it a try, though I wouldn’t call it one of the best places to stay in Taormina. The main problem was the huge amount of noise certain people made in the morning.
