Casa Don Micio

A nice room, friendly service, and a great location.

I really liked how calm and authentic the place felt. It’s well kept and welcoming, while still just minutes from the heart of Taormina. The room was clean and nicely equipped, though a little small. It worked well and was comfortable. One thing that could be better is the cleaning, since our room wasn’t cleaned every day during the stay. It wasn’t a big problem, but daily cleaning would make the experience more complete. Casa Don Micio was a lovely find, and I’d happily return for a quiet stay close to everything.

The terrace on the third floor was a highlight, with stunning views of Mount Etna and the sea on one side, and part of the Teatro Antico on the other. The stairs up are quite steep, which is a minor drawback. The apartment has a spacious, comfortable bed, though the room itself isn’t very large, and the bathroom and shower are fine. There are just a few rooms in this small building right beside the Teatro Antico, in a relatively peaceful part of town. The elegant, friendly owner lives downstairs and is always available if you need anything.

The staff were so kind and helpful, especially Stefano, who welcomed us. This clean, pleasant B&B is very central, making it easy to explore Taormina at your own pace, yet the area is very quiet. The comfortable rooms are another plus, and the value for money is excellent compared with other B&Bs.
