Hotel Villa Greta

Breakfast was the best we've ever had, and at 15 Euro per person it's worth trying at least once. Don't leave it until your last day, you might regret that. The rooms were clean, but we couldn't close the windows properly. Trucks roaring by ended the night around 6-6.30 a.m. Parking at the house was either very expensive or unavailable, so we had to park elsewhere, pay high fees, and walk back. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and sometimes didn't work at all. Despite the noisy trucks and mopeds, it was a nice stay.

We could walk downtown from this perfectly located hotel, with some stairs along the way, but that was absolutely fine. The room was very spacious, and breakfast had a rich variety. The homemade cakes were delicious. The staff were helpful, especially Luca, who answered our questions and gave us lots of useful advice. It was one of our highlights in Sicily, and I'd recommend it to anyone after a charming local experience.

The place has a nice, youthful feel and a great location, though it's set high up on the mountain. Getting to the center of Taormina means walking down many steps, but we were fine with that. Reception staff were generally efficient. The shower wasn't clean, and the coffee machine was broken. The worst part was coming back at 11:00 PM after leaving our things in the room and finding an extra sofa there. We hadn't asked for it, and there was already a sofa. The staff had entered while we were out and made the room even more crowded.

The whole staff took such good care of us and were extremely kind and helpful. I loved the clean place and the view. A perfect stay in Taormina. Grazie mille!
