Villa degli Ulivi

We booked three nights but moved out the next day to another place for the same money, a five star stay with breakfast where we were treated like queens. The owner wasn’t Italian either. Here, the host was completely unaccommodating. We were allowed only one key, so when one of us went out, the other had to sit in the dark without AC, locked in without electricity, so the first person could get back in. We asked for extra pillows and got one dirty pillow. Pool towels, daily coffee, and water never arrived when requested. The beds were horrible. We were told a taxi from the airport would cost €120, but it cost us €250. Please don’t stay here, buyer beware!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa degli Ulivi in late August. The staff and host were welcoming and super helpful, and our clean, spacious room had a superb terrace with a stunning view. The pool and garden were really nice too. The bus to Taormina city center and G. Naxos is just two minutes away. I’d definitely recommend this place!

At dusk there were mosquitos everywhere, so you couldn’t sit outside, and the traffic was so loud. The bed was hard as a rock. The host was awful, and took photos of us secretly, or so she thought. The coffee machine didn’t work, and two door handles fell off.

We had a really nice time enjoying the spacious room and lovely terrace. It came equipped with everything we needed, and there’s a garden with a pool too. The main drawback is the busy road right outside. With no sidewalks, getting there feels adventurous: you either need a taxi or have to walk directly on the road close to traffic.
