B&B da Mammina

Our room had already been given to someone else when we arrived, even though we’d booked and paid through Expedia. The host didn’t answer our call. Instead, he texted that we’d been robbed by “cazzo italian”. The room cost 300€ per night!!!

We called the owner when we arrived, and he said the accommodation was full and it wasn’t his problem. We’d already paid, and there was nowhere else available at the time. So now we’re having a great night in Taranto without a room.

We’d paid for the accommodation, but when we arrived and called, the man told us in Italian that it was full and not his problem. He didn’t speak English. We asked him to explain and help, but got nothing, not even a reply to our many messages. Horrible and deeply disappointing behavior. I definitely don’t recommend this B&B.

The room and location were decent, but the rest was a letdown. The entrance was dirty, with narrow stairs and what felt like endless steps, making luggage awkward to carry. The bathroom fan gave off a bad smell instead of clearing it, maybe because of old filters. The room was cleaned every three days, and I had to call for toilet paper because the one roll left was nearly finished.
