Avoid this place. The room was dirty and smelled strongly of bleach, while the duvet smelled bad and had cigarette burns. The hallway had a wet-dog odor, and there was cigarette smoke too. Breakfast came with only one coffee pod. There’s no B&B sign by the door, and no emergency exit. On our last night, arguments at 1:00 AM woke everyone. The bathroom was the worst part. A device behind the toilet is meant to remove waste when the water is turned on, but it stays in the toilet, so we had to call the owner each time. There was soap on the toilet, and I even found a razor blade. The closet, lamp and lampshade were held together with tape. Payment was in ⚫.

At the corner of central Corso Italia and Viale Liguria in Taranto, a prominent local entrepreneur has established a quality place to stay. The rooms have LED TVs and modern heating and cooling, either independent heating and air conditioning or a heat pump. Its location works well for shopping or an affordable fresh seafood lunch, and the bus stop nearby serves city sights including the old town, port, train station, the Marta archaeological museum, and Via D'Acquino nightlife with the Garibaldi and Peripato villas. Prices are among the most affordable in the Ionian capital. Highly recommended.

We wouldn’t recommend this place. There’s an unpleasant smell throughout the building coming from the adjoining bathroom, and dust is everywhere. The curtains are dirty, the fabric light fixtures are dusty, and the polyester sheets aren’t suitable for summer. Rooms are also missing wardrobes and bedside tables.

Absolutely avoid. The room in this old, poorly furnished apartment had a strong sewer smell, and the separate bathroom smelled damp and foul, with clear signs of leaks and wear. Dust was everywhere, and the black curtains had cobwebs. The polyester sheets are changed for each new guest, but that still feels unsuitable in summer when people sweat.
