Al Chiaro Di Luna

The terraces have wonderful views, and there’s a shady public garden with a kids’ playground right below. The location is central but peaceful, and parking is free both around the building and underneath it. Inside, everything was clean, comfortable, and nicely detailed, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a good breakfast. The hosts were very helpful, and the service was excellent. The price felt more than fair, and honest.

My son and I had a really nice stay, and the panoramic view and service were both excellent. We were right in the city center, the rooms were clean, and we’d be glad to come back another time.

The bathroom was shared, and the kitchen seemed to be there for show. Food left in the fridge by other guests appeared to be reused. There was even an opened bottle of water that seemed to have been topped up from the tap. The sheets and towels smelled as if no detergent had been used.

The owner came across as unpleasant, with little sense of warmth or hospitality. I can’t understand the glowing reviews of this awful place. On Booking.com, she seems to answer negative reviews with excuses for her behavior and the way the B&B is run, which comes across as neither here nor there. Guests pay to stay and deserve better. She should consider whether she’d accept the same treatment herself. Arguing back instead of staying quiet just makes a worse impression.
