The lake setting is pleasant, and the toilets and showers were clean. There’s also an ACSI discount in the off season. Even with that, I’d choose somewhere else. There are better sites with more welcoming hosts, even if they cost a little more. We paid for a brief overnight stay, arriving at 1800. The campsite was practically empty. The only other guests we saw were a couple we greeted as they checked in before us. We had no disturbances or issues, and nobody accused us of breaking any rules. During check-in and check-out, we only encountered the receptionist and the owner. From arrival, the atmosphere felt frosty. Neither the receptionist nor the owner smiled or welcomed us, although we tried to be friendly. We were given two pages of rules, along with some useful information. There were notices everywhere. Some of the rules seemed excessive, and seeing several reminders not to defecate in the showers was unpleasant as an ordinary guest. I also doubt those signs would stop anyone who would actually do that. The problem came at checkout the next morning. With an ACSI discount, payment had to be in cash, but we learned that only then. The owner said it was “in the book,” presumably the ACSI handbook, which we don’t have. Luckily we had cash. I said we hadn’t been told, and that it surprised me because other sites we’ve used didn’t require cash for ACSI bookings. I also said it wasn’t a problem. We weren’t arguing about how to pay. Her reply was curt and aggressive: “my campsite my rules.” I pointed to all the posted notices and said I could see that. She took offense and launched into a tirade about disrespectful customers, though she hadn’t accused us of breaking any rule. It was a bizarre exchange, and it went nowhere as she became more belligerent, so I ended the conversation. As I left, she shouted again that guests were disrespectful. I told her she hadn’t shown me respect or even offered a basic welcome. She had no answer, just said I shouldn’t stay again. I agreed I wouldn’t. She then shouted that I shouldn’t slam the door, though I hadn’t, and as we drove away she came out of reception and gave us the v sign. In my view, the owner seems deeply affected by guest behavior. Other negative reviews describe how she responds to complaints and even suggestions. Her response to our review also makes it seem she has invented events to fit her story. She still misunderstands what we complained about. I mentioned the cash requirement casually, then it was her shouting and abusive gestures that became the issue. I won’t return, and I’d advise spending your money elsewhere with someone who understands hospitality and doesn’t treat every guest as if they’d pooped in the shower.

The lake was a highlight, especially being able to jump straight in, and the shared showers and toilets were great. We spent two nights at this campsite in a beautiful spot, and despite the owner's attitude, we had a wonderful vacation. This was our first stay at a campsite outside our home country, and we’re still new to camping. We found the rules a bit much, so next time we’ll read each campsite’s rules before booking to avoid surprises. The pitches also felt odd to us because there was no separation, leaving your neighbor very close. Maybe that’s normal, but we weren’t used to it. I really liked the waste sorting, and staff helped when we weren’t sure where something went. We won’t come back because we need to use our car. Our equipment and tents are made for car camping, and cars aren’t allowed on the pitch here unless it’s a caravan or campervan. If you’re thinking of staying, read the rules on the website first. If they suit you, you can have a wonderful holiday.

The owner's husband was super friendly, but she was really unfriendly, even with kids. She kept yelling at people and seemed completely out of control. The showers were sometimes cold, sometimes warm, and smelly. The restaurant was closed. The campsite felt old and unclean. We’ll never go back. Never again.

We’ll be back, and thanks so much for having us 💙🎶. The prosecco area is lovely, and there are lots of beautiful historic places to visit. Our camping holiday at Lake Lago di Lago was perfect. Dear Giorgio and Danila, you and your staff are so kind and helpful. The campsite has real charm and beautiful spots, with lovely swimming in the pool and even better in the lake. It was clean, and the grounds were very well cared for. The sanitary facilities were very clean too. Your campsite is run perfectly.

I’ve never been spoken to like that before. The elderly woman who owns the place was aggressive and disrespectful, making the whole stay deeply uncomfortable. It felt like an attack rather than a visit. An absolutely awful experience. Avoid this place if you care about your peace of mind and basic decency.
