We had everything we needed in the apartment, and the pool was so welcome after days exploring the countryside. Shops, a grocery store, and restaurants were all an easy walk away. Our whole stay was perfect, and communicating with Giada was easy.

The host is lovely and was ready to help with anything. Parking is available, and nearby on foot you'll find a supermarket, coffee place, panini, and a winery. It's an ideal base near Sienna and Firenze, with normal roads for the drive and just five minutes from the Highway that links up with the Italy Autostrada.

San Donato is a charming little authentic Italian village and a handy starting point for visiting Siena, San Gimignano, or Florence. We spent a great week in the Verrazzano Apartment, which was very spacious, clean, and had its own garden. Giada was friendly, wonderful, and very helpful, with lots of useful tips for our time in Tuscany. We'd happily stay at La Compagnia del Chianti again.

Giada was a friendly, helpful hostess, and we had an incredible stay at La Compagnia del Chianti. Our apartment was clean and quiet, with full amenities and amazing Chianti views. On days we didn't go sightseeing, the pool was a perfect place to unwind. We also loved the short stroll to the charming village and co-op market. Just a heads-up, there are four other Airbnb units in the building, and sound carries through the walls and floors. We heard chairs scraping, cabinets being shut roughly, heavy footsteps, and babies crying. Quiet hours are 22:00-8:00, and everyone did a pretty good job keeping things down then.

The location made it easy to reach the town on foot, with a grocery store and pharmacy just steps away, and plenty of great hiking trails nearby. The sunsets from the olive grove on the west side of the property were jaw-droppingly beautiful. Giada was a really nice host, always available and interesting to get to know, and her family was very kind and friendly. Our accommodation was just perfect: two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, and a roomy living room with a small but full kitchen to one side. French doors opened onto a shady yard and a huge terrace with a great southeast view. We also had access to a laundry machine in the next-door building and a drying rack in the apartment, which came in very handy.
