The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. We also loved the restaurant, with its delicious dishes, fresh ingredients, and lovely presentation. Such a delightful place. We’d love to return.

A lovely family-run Tuscan guesthouse, with an amazing restaurant downstairs. The local food and wine are great quality, and the hospitality is wonderful. I’d thoroughly recommend it for a break from busy city life and a nice glass of wine.

The dessert was unique and delicious, and that’s what earns the stars. We’d hoped to turn around a horrible dinner elsewhere with coffee and dessert at La Locanda, but the service felt poor because we weren’t ordering a full meal. I worked in hospitality for 15 years and would never change how I treated people based on what they ordered. We might have come back for dinner during the rest of our time in Chianti, but the staff were very rude, so we definitely won’t return.

I keep coming back for the truffle pasta. It’s become a tradition, and it’s divine. The waiters are friendly, attentive, and give great recommendations. Their wine suggestions have always been right on, including the Bucciarelli Chianti Classico Riserva. La Locanda di Pietracupa feels special, elegant without being pretentious. You can taste the two female chefs’ dedication in every dish. A lovely place to unwind in the heart of Chianti.

We had the tasting menu, which was good and very opulent, and the wine list had plenty of local options, including natural wines. The staff were so attentive and friendly, and made us feel welcome. We had an incredible evening here.
