B&B Corte dell' Immacolata

We only meant to stay one night after a last-minute cancellation led us to book this B&B, but we would happily have stayed much longer. It has a peaceful feel and looks lovely. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the location worked very well for visiting the nearby beaches. Highly recommended!

The only drawback for us was that the rooms weren't cleaned every day. Still, my partner and I really enjoyed our week in Puglia here. The room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a drying rack, and free parking was easy to find in front of the B&B. Breakfast was excellent, with croissants, traditional pastries, and a fresh dairy-free cake the owner made daily, a thoughtful option for people with intolerances or allergies. The lady and young woman working there were both helpful with room requests and tips on places to visit. The B&B is in a quiet village, with Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca, and other main attractions nearby. It's in the heart of Taviano, about a 15-minute drive from Gallipoli, and I'd highly recommend it.

With two small children, we felt really uncomfortable at Corte dell'Immacolata B&B. The room had no window or balcony, just an air vent opening onto an internal courtyard, and we paid €120 a night for it. I don't even know if that kind of room is legal. Check-in was remote and came with complications, and nobody explained the facility to us. The rooms were noisy, dirty, cramped, and the beds were uncomfortable. Our double bed was two singles pushed together, covered with cellophane that made us sweat badly. The fridge didn't work until it was replaced the next day, and the TV was broken. In three days, our towels and sheets were never changed, and there was nowhere to hang beach towels. That evening we spoke with another guest about how unwelcoming the rooms felt. The staff were otherwise friendly, which makes it especially disappointing to leave such a negative review. It was a terrible experience. I hope management uses this to make improvements and doesn't take it as a provocation.

We booked by chance and were glad we did. Antonella and her daughter Federica were exceptionally warm and hospitable. The breakfasts were varied and generous, with very good local products. The rooms were roomy, clean, and nicely equipped, and the towels were changed every day, which we really appreciated. The B&B is in a beautifully renovated courtyard and has comforts like air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Highly recommended!
