The front desk service was among the least helpful we've experienced. At check-in, staff put our passports in another room's key box. When we couldn't find them at checkout, we asked for help, but they refused to check the six passports on their shelf, saying they “knew which family each passport belonged to.” It became a stressful, avoidable ordeal. With a small child with us, we had to search the room again and unload all our luggage in the car park, after being wrongly told we'd lost our passports. A friend eventually pointed out that the family they thought our three passports belonged to was actually a solo guest. Only then did staff check again and find their mistake. A simple 15-second check could have prevented all this. Instead, they repeatedly dismissed us and made us feel attacked, with no apology even after the error was clear. They insisted they had “checked,” although they literally hadn't. The building and rooms are decent, but I can't recommend this hotel when even a small chance of dealing with such unprofessional front desk service exists.

The room is tragic, even though the service and location are great. The bathroom doors are ancient, and one of my family members got stuck in the bathroom for close to an hour. The staff helped get him out, but it was still a crazy hassle.

There's a calm, peaceful feel to the hotel, with lovely gardens that are beautifully looked after. It has a superb SPA and its own thermal spring. The restaurant serves excellent local food, and the service is very professional. They also often put on cultural events and art exhibitions for guests.

The shared spaces are beautifully decorated, and the pool and restaurant areas are gorgeous. We stayed here for a wedding in a nearby town and had a wonderful time. Our room felt a little below the hotel's otherwise high standard, and it could be hard to get food or a drink since things close around 3pm. Still, the place was so pretty that I overlooked a lot.

The 100 year old park is stunning, perfect for a romantic meal or a stroll, and the locally sourced ingredients made for gorgeous meals. We felt pampered and very welcome throughout our amazing stay at the grand hotel. The service was top notch, especially from the waiting staff Antonello, Antonio and the Maitre Gerardo. The pool was clean and properly staffed, and there's a grand hotel shuttle to the local spa, just 2km away. We look forward to coming back. Thank you!
