Hotel Ristorante Meson Feliz

Luckily, we stayed just one night, on August 12, 2025. It cost €112 with breakfast, but breakfast wasn’t served until 8:30 and I had an 8:00 ferry. I hadn’t been told that when booking, and they wanted to settle the bill with a coffee. There’s no TV in the rooms, and only seven channels come through. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. The air conditioning was noisy even on low, parts of the shower were peeling, and tiles were missing. The place felt abandoned. I hope they close soon. Sorry I can’t attach photos.

The room was shabby and dirty, with a musty smell as soon as I walked in. I barely slept the first night because of the noise, and there was also a cockroach during the night. I knew we'd been offered a cheaper ground-floor room since this wasn't a romantic trip, but €70 a night still isn't a bargain for a place like this. Worn furnishings in a modest room are one thing; the dirt is another. It wouldn't take much to make this better.

We booked through AirB&B, but the hotel's website photos showed the opposite of what we found. On arrival they claimed we'd selected a ground-floor room online, which simply wasn't true. The room was dark, damp, dirty, smelly, and moldy. Even after I explained my health issues and that I couldn't stay in a moldy room, they said they couldn't help because the hotel was full. We'd asked for a double bed and got two single beds pushed together, at different heights and lengths. At 9:00 PM, with little concern, their answer was to refund us and tell us to leave. Speechless. Never again.

The hotel is well kept and the staff are impeccable. Management was a whole other kind of experience, moving at mystical speed with ideas set in stone, no space for disagreement, and an energy that was always... surprisingly lively.
